Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
in your NHS account
in your Patient Services Account
fill in our Test Results Form
Your doctor will review your test result and contact you should you need to be seen.
You do not need to contact the practice unless your doctor advises you to do so.
If your doctor asks you to telephone regarding your result, please try and do so between 11:00 and before 12:00, or after 14:00 on any day, Monday to Friday inclusive. Our reception team will generally have more time to deal with your request between these times.
All special test results (blood tests, urine samples, x-rays etc) are checked by the doctors and you will be contacted if further action is needed. Reception team members are not qualified to interpret test results although they can pass your doctor’s comments to you if the doctor has requested them to do so.
Cherry Medical Practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data, or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test, you will normally be advised as to the length of time before the results are returned to the practice.
