The surgery is committed to ensuring the best possible service is provided to all patients registered here. Missed appointments lead to delays in treatment and longer waiting times to get to see the Dr. Patients who miss appointments without notifying the practice are wasting appointments that could be offered to people who really need them and this is unfair.

We implement our Missed Appointment Policy below to ensure that we have as little missed appointments as possible.

When you book your appointment at the surgery, please ensure that you make a note of the appointment date and time so that you are able to keep it.

If you do not keep your appointment, the reception staff will call you on the same day and try to ascertain why the appointment was missed. We will log the call and also the reasons given.

If you miss a second appointment we will carry out the same steps by contacting you on the phone to find out why you missed your appointment, this will also be logged.

After 3 missed appointments you will receive a call from the practice manager. If the practice manager feels that you do not have sound reasons for missing your appointments then you may be removed from the list and asked to register with another GP practice.

IF YOU THINK YOU CANNOT MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT - PLEASE RING IN ADVANCE AND LET US KNOW IN PLENTY OF TIME.
